Site Nuclear Compliance Officer
Location: Sizewell C, Leiston, Suffolk (5 days per week onsite)
Employment type: Permanent full-time
Salary: £62,500 - £70,000 per annum - dependent on experience
Benefits:

The Role
In this exciting role, you’ll collaborate with responsible managers to guide staff, contractors, and consultants in adhering to the requirements of the Nuclear Site Licence (NSL), planning permissions, environmental consents, and lease obligations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing expert advice
- Identifying and addressing compliance shortcomings
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement

You’ll engage in both desk-based work and active onsite inspections to ensure compliance standards are met.
Key elements of your role will include:
- Compliance assessments
- Monitoring site activities
- Producing monthly compliance dashboards
- Facilitating self-assessments for compliance by responsible managers
You’ll also be instrumental in educating and mentoring the Sizewell C staff and contract partners on compliance obligations, ensuring effective communication among all stakeholders.
The Skills
We are looking for candidates with experience in auditing (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001), and a background in an engineering or construction environment.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines are essential.
