Operations Manager – Site Operations Manager (East Midlands Distribution Network)
About the Role
We're seeking a talented and experienced Operations Manager to step into a Site Operations Manager role, focusing on our new East Midlands Distribution network.
Reporting to the Senior Logistics Operations Manager, this key position involves:
- Leading the implementation and management of our new operational site
- Overseeing multi-faceted operations and key business processes
- Financially managing operations within a defined budget, while controlling costs
- Setting and achieving operational goals to meet both Games Workshop’s immediate and future needs
As the Site Operations Manager, you will:
- Lead by example, ensuring your team delivers operational plans efficiently
- Build and manage your own team, from operative level upwards
- Hold functional areas accountable to ensure correct workflow and data transfer to the warehouse
- Align staffing demands to fluctuating workloads, ensuring the right team is in place

Key responsibilities include:
- Defining and maintaining mentorship programmes to ensure team members have the skills to achieve SLAs
- Ensuring high service standards – both internal and external
- Driving continuous improvement in process efficiency through experience in fast-paced distribution and fulfilment
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Significant experience in operational leadership, particularly in distribution or fulfilment
- Sharp financial acumen with a track record of cost control and budget optimisation
- Demonstrated ability to develop teams, of any size, empowering staff to deliver results
- Strong communication skills – written, verbal, and interpersonal, especially influencing across different levels
- Technical proficiency in Google Suite and Excel, with a positive and adaptable approach
- Ability to communicate clearly and drive productivity during changing workloads or demands
