Site Operations Manager

Operations Manager – Site Operations Manager (East Midlands Distribution Network)

About the Role

We're seeking a talented and experienced Operations Manager to step into a Site Operations Manager role, focusing on our new East Midlands Distribution network.

Reporting to the Senior Logistics Operations Manager, this key position involves:

  • Leading the implementation and management of our new operational site
  • Overseeing multi-faceted operations and key business processes
  • Financially managing operations within a defined budget, while controlling costs
  • Setting and achieving operational goals to meet both Games Workshop’s immediate and future needs

As the Site Operations Manager, you will:

  • Lead by example, ensuring your team delivers operational plans efficiently
  • Build and manage your own team, from operative level upwards
  • Hold functional areas accountable to ensure correct workflow and data transfer to the warehouse
  • Align staffing demands to fluctuating workloads, ensuring the right team is in place

Key responsibilities include:

  • Defining and maintaining mentorship programmes to ensure team members have the skills to achieve SLAs
  • Ensuring high service standards – both internal and external
  • Driving continuous improvement in process efficiency through experience in fast-paced distribution and fulfilment

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Significant experience in operational leadership, particularly in distribution or fulfilment
  • Sharp financial acumen with a track record of cost control and budget optimisation
  • Demonstrated ability to develop teams, of any size, empowering staff to deliver results
  • Strong communication skills – written, verbal, and interpersonal, especially influencing across different levels
  • Technical proficiency in Google Suite and Excel, with a positive and adaptable approach
  • Ability to communicate clearly and drive productivity during changing workloads or demands
