Site Operative (Clean Water Sites) – Beverley, UK

We are recruiting for Site Operatives based in Beverley, specialising in sustainable water asset management solutions.

Position Overview

At our company, we deliver exceptional value outcomes in potable water, wastewater, and environmental projects.

This role involves on-site debris clearance, groundworks, and maintenance under the supervision of the Site Supervisor. The position includes a requirement for travel and occasional overnighters.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will:

  • Prepare worksites – unload and store materials, plant, and equipment.
  • Handle, use, and dispose of materials and resources safely.
  • Perform physical tasks, including:
    • Basic timber shuttering
    • Drainage and kerb laying
    • Material mixing and application
  • Operate heavy machinery (diggers, dumpers, compressors), following CPCS training.
  • Maintain a safe and tidy working environment, including:
    • Always wearing full PPE
    • Adhering to the Company Safety Handbook and policies
  • Follow all safety regulations, training, and reasonable instructions.
  • Demonstrate:
    • Ability to work at heights safely (with relevant training).
    • Self-motivation and task completion with minimal supervision.
    • Proactive initiative, particularly in Health & Safety matters.
    • Personal responsibility when lifting, carrying, and pushing equipment.

Additional Requirements

  • Prior on-site experience in a labourer capacity is essential.
  • Manual handling skills, including lifting, carrying, and operating tools.
  • Good driving skills (regular company van use, which will be monitored)。
  • Willingness to attend training courses as required.
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home, including occasional overnighters.
