Customer Service Team Member (Recycling Site Attendant) – Permanent

About The Role
- Location: Newport Gwent
- Salary: £26,736.32 per annum (~£12.81/hour)
- Working hours: 40 hours per week (Friday–Tuesday, 07.45–16.15)
- Working pattern: Fridays, Mondays, Tuesdays (Wednesdays, Thursdays = rest days)
- Training: Full mobile plant training provided

Key Responsibilities
- Delivering excellent customer service by advising and assisting members of the public on using the site to maximise material recovery.
- Maintaining accurate records for the removal of materials from the site.
- Controlling container exchanges, including:
- Booking loads with the relevant team to ensure proper segregation and storage.
- Ensuring the site remains organised and operational.
- Keeping the site tidy within your allotted areas.
- Ensuring compliance with legal health, safety, and welfare duties.
- Cooperating with SUEZ and colleagues to:
- Follow site permits and applicable legislation.
- Adhere to SUEZ policies and procedures.
- Complete any other reasonable duties within the job role.

Essential Skills & Attributes:
- Strong customer service skills and a willingness to collaborate in a team.
- Flexibility, including covering holidays and sick days as needed.
Desirable Experience:
- Prior experience operating mobile plant (though full training will be provided).
Opportunities for Progression:
- Potential to gain qualifications including:
- IOSH Managing Safely (health & safety).
- COTC Level 4 (waste industry-specific).
