About Lucera

Lucera is BGC Group's financial infrastructure and connectivity business. Built specifically for electronic trading environments, Lucera provides banks, brokers, hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, and market makers with secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure that supports mission-critical trading and market data workloads. Lucera is the creator of LumeFX, an advanced FX trading platform that combines liquidity aggregation, distributed matching technology, and intelligent smart order routing to optimize execution quality and trading efficiency.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / DevOps Engineer to join our growing engineering organization. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, automation, and operational excellence of critical production systems supporting global trading infrastructure and financial technology platforms.

You will work closely with software engineers, infrastructure teams, network specialists, and production support teams to build resilient systems, automate operational processes, improve observability, and drive platform reliability at scale.

This is an opportunity to work in a highly demanding, performance-sensitive environment where uptime, latency, automation, and operational excellence are paramount.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable, and resilient production infrastructure.
  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to automate provisioning and configuration management.
  • Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and efficient software delivery.
  • Manage and support containerized workloads across modern orchestration platforms.
  • Build and improve monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions to ensure rapid detection and resolution of issues.
  • Automate operational workflows, deployment processes, and routine administrative tasks.
  • Troubleshoot complex production incidents across infrastructure, applications, networking, and distributed systems.
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve system reliability, performance, and operational readiness.
  • Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to disaster recovery, business continuity, and platform resilience strategies.
  • Maintain operational standards, documentation, and best practices across the environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
