Site Reliability Engineer, London, Global Exchange Operator
4 Days Per week in London Office
We are working exclusively with one of the world's largest exchange operators on an SRE hire in London. This is a hands-on technical role at the heart of a follow-the-sun support model, providing critical coverage for both European markets and US global trading hours on ultra-low latency bare metal infrastructure.
The Role
- You will own platform configuration management, incident response, and system availability across production, disaster recovery, and certification environments.
- Working independently across time zones, you will troubleshoot complex issues on bare metal Linux systems, execute SQL-driven configuration changes, build Python automation tooling, and work closely with software, systems, and network engineering teams globally.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
