About the Role
Are you passionate about digital media, entertainment, and software services? Do you thrive on big challenges with a highly motivated team? If so, we want you to join our AIOps group as an "SRE Production Support" specialist:
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support digital asset delivery systems across the full lifecycle management
- Tune, optimise, and troubleshoot delivery applications for performance and reliability
- Collaborate with managers and leads to scope, design, and implement media delivery projects
- Analyse incidents, assist in remediation efforts, and design improvements to prevent future failures
- Partner with DevOps teams to monitor and track key system health and performance metrics
- Automate everything possible through coding and scripting

Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) expertise:
- Hands-on experience with resiliency, observability, availability, and scalability best practices
- DevOps & Agile methodology:
- Expertise in ServiceNow Agile, Jira
- Digital asset delivery systems:
- Signiant, Aspera (or equivalent)
- Linux OS administration & scripting:
- Support/administration for various Linux versions/features
- Public cloud experience:
- AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments
- Network fundamentals:
- TCP/IP, UDP, IPv4/IPv6, DNS, SSL, Firewalls, F5 LTM
- Automation & CI/CD:
- Tools: Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Jenkins
- Version control & scripting:
- Git, GitHub + scripting languages: Python, Node.js, Perl

Soft Skills & Workplace Readiness:
- Clear communication (written and verbal) for technical & non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborative mindset with DevOps, customers, and peers across NBCUniversal
- Vendor liaison comfort (e.g., supporting media software providers)
- High stress tolerance for 24X7 on-call rotation support
- Agility to adapt to shifting priorities while fostering team alignment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 3+ years supporting high-volume/large-scale environments
- Media industry experience preferred (broadcast/production focus)
- Cloud platform certification (optional but valuable)
