🚀 About Tandem
Tired of the endless swiping and ghosting? So are we. At Tandem, we're on a mission to make dating more fun, safe, and less anxiety-inducing by bringing back the double date. We’re looking for a Site Reliability Engineer / DevOps expert to join our team and help us build a platform that’s as reliable as your best wingman.
🧠 The role
As our SRE/DevOps engineer, you'll be the backbone of our infrastructure. You'll be responsible for making sure our platform is scalable, reliable, and secure. We're a small team, so you'll have a huge impact on our technical direction. You'll be working with a modern tech stack and will have the freedom to experiment with new technologies. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about automation and wants to build a rock-solid infrastructure from the ground up.
💼 What you’ll Do
- Building and maintaining our infrastructure on Hetzner and AWS.
- Managing our Kubernetes clusters with K3s.
- Automating our deployment pipelines and infrastructure with tools like Terraform and GitHub Actions.
- Monitoring our systems and responding to incidents using tools like BetterStack and Incident.io.
- Working with the engineering team to improve the reliability and performance of our services.
- Implementing best practices for security and compliance.

You Have Experience With Our Tech Stack. You Don't Need To Be An Expert In Everything, But You Should Be Comfortable With Some Of The Following
Cloud & Infra: CloudFlare, Hetzner, AWS, Kubernetes, K3s, Docker
Automation & IaC: Terraform, Ansible, or similar
CI/CD: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar
Monitoring & Ops: Prometheus, Grafana, BetterStack, Incident.io
You are...
- Someone with a strong understanding of Linux and networking fundamentals.
- Experienced in building and maintaining highly available and scalable systems.
- Passionate about automation and have a strong desire to eliminate manual work.
- Excited about working in a startup environment and happy to wear multiple hats.
- A great communicator and team player.
