Site Services Gas Engineer

About the Role
As a skilled Gas Engineer within the Danske Systems Barna at JLR, you’ll work alongside experts to ensure preventative, corrective, maintenance, and service tasks are carried out across **gas appliances, HVAC systems, pipefitting, and plumbing. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining the availability and efficiency of the plant, keeping it running at 100% capacity.
At Jaguar Land Rover, you’ll contribute to creating era-defining luxury vehicles while delivering exceptional customer experiences. Your expertise will drive excellence in maintenance, reliability, and operational performance.
What You’ll Do
As part of the Combustion Engineer team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Installing, maintaining, and testing gas appliances, gas systems, and HVAC equipment
- Conducting planned maintenance checks on systems and equipment
- Testing safety controls and devices, ensuring they function as intended
- Tracing, repairing, and preventing gas leaks to maintain system integrity
- Performing predictive (PPM) and reactive maintenance (emergency repairs) across domestic and commercial boiler systems
- Ensuring proactive and reactive maintenance for natural gas boilers and systems across multiple sites
- Conducting fault-finding and diagnostics across a range of gas-fired systems

What You’ll Need
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Qualified Gas Engineer:
- A recognised gas industry Level 3 qualification through the Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS)
- Gas Safe registered
- Core Gas Certifications:
- Essential core qualifications including:

Either: CCN1 (Core Domestic Gas)

or Commercial9 Option 1: CENWAT, CPA1, and CoDNCO1
-
Option 2: CDGA1, CIGA1
-
ICPN1 (generally a requirement for some commercial or industrial installations)

- Essential core qualifications including:
- Heating & Plumbing Experience:
- Experience installing/upgrading heating systems, sanitation systems, domestic appliances and emergency repairs on water systems
- Pipework & Compressed Air Systems:
- Experience in installation and repairs of compressed air systems/products
- Electrical Testing:
- Relevant qualification such as ACOP 6/7 for electrical safety testing and fault finding
- Right to Work:
- Current legal right to work in the UK (no Skilled Worker visa sponsorship available).
