About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Services Manager to lead our multi-disciplined engineering team and oversee all aspects of site services, including infrastructure, utilities, compliance, and maintenance activities. This pivotal role ensures the efficient, safe, and compliant operation of our Stoke site while supporting continuous improvement and business growth.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and manage a team of engineers and contractors to maintain and develop site infrastructure, land, and buildings.
- Deliver site compliance and business objectives through effective resource planning and utilisation.
- Ensure departmental KPIs are met or exceeded, with a focus on H&S, environmental standards, and Good Engineering Practices (GEP).
- Oversee the integration of buildings and grounds maintenance into SAP PM system.
- Manage departmental budget to prevent overspend while maintaining service quality.
- Support and deliver capital expenditure projects on time and in full.
- Maintain and develop the Engineering Safety Database for full regulatory compliance.
- Drive Loss Prevention activities and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Develop and retain team capabilities in line with site goals and succession planning.
- Promote a culture of proactive, planned, and preventative maintenance.
- Oversee contracted services to ensure value for money, compliance, and performance.
- Deliver high-quality engineering services in line with internal KPIs and customer expectations.
- Lead engineering and building projects with a strong focus on technical excellence.
- Prepare and report on technical issues, escalating as necessary.
- Ensure contractors and services adhere to site H&S protocols.
- Promote a culture of food safety, authenticity, legality, and quality across all operations.

What we need from you:
Essential
- HNC/Degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or Building Services.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the food or allied industry, including 5 years in a supervisory/leadership role.
- Proven track record of effective team and contractor management.
- Strong leadership and change management capabilities, ideally within a unionised environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety and project management practices.
