At Martin Brower, we believe that collaboration, empathy, and innovation make the workplace thrive. We’re searching for a Site Services Manager at our Coventry Distribution Centre to help create a supportive and efficient environment where everyone can flourish.
Why This Role?
As a natural collaborator and mentor, you'll lead facilities and maintenance operations across our complex Coventry Distribution Centre, helping to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant environment for colleagues, customers, and visitors. Working closely with site leadership, contractors, and operational teams, you'll oversee both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities, supporting business continuity and the reliable operation of critical building services and plant equipment.
You will play a key role in fostering an inclusive atmosphere where every voice is heard, while driving high standards of safety, compliance, and service delivery through teamwork and collaboration.
What You'll Do
- Manage the day-to-day maintenance and operation of our distribution centre, ensuring facilities, building services, refrigeration systems, utilities, and plant equipment are maintained to a high standard.
- Oversee Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programmes and coordinate reactive maintenance activities to minimise downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Utilise CAFM systems to manage maintenance schedules, asset records, compliance documentation, and audit readiness.
- Develop strong partnerships with contractors and service providers, ensuring all work is delivered safely, on time, and in line with agreed standards.
- Collaborate with site leadership teams to deliver facilities improvements, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance.
- Support compliance with health, safety, environmental, and legislative requirements while helping maintain a safe and welcoming workplace.
- Nurture your team by providing development opportunities, recognising contributions, and encouraging open communication.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
