The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and experienced Site Services Officer to join our premises team, with responsibilities that include art and design technician support. The role requires you to contribute to the smooth operation of the academy while managing a range of essential tasks:
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily operational duties, including janitorial and maintenance work, ensuring the school premises remain clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Provide technical support, advice, and assistance to the Design Technology department, including art and design-related tasks.
- Liaise with contractors on-site, overseeing their work and ensuring it complies with health and safety regulations.
- Demonstrate practical skills in building maintenance, painting, carpentry, and general repair tasks.
- Assist individual students and small groups in design technology lessons under the guidance of class teachers.
- Contribute to a positive learning environment by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and functionality.

Requirements
- A strong understanding of building maintenance, including painting, carpentry, electrical work, and basic plumbing.
- Experience with health and safety protocols and ensuring compliance on-site.
- Technical expertise in design, art, and craft support to assist students and teachers.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with contractors, staff, and students.
- Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of young people.

Salary & Benefits

Grade 4: £26,243 – £29,838 full-time (pro-rata for 30-hour week: £18,464 – £20,993 per annum)

Hours: 30 weekly, 8:30am – 3:00pm (39 weeks, including an unpaid 30-minute break each working day)
