About your role
The purpose of this position is to manage the shift-based Maintenance Engineering team for Site Services, acting as the Technical Authority to drive continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, People Development, Delivery, and Cost metrics, ensuring availability and sustainability of site services.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage the Maintenance Engineering team to deliver effective 24/7 engineering support for site services.
- Act as the Technical Authority for Site Services, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, people development, delivery, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with Site Services Manager, Compliance Engineer, and Reliability Engineers to enhance site service availability and sustainability.
- Manage shift rotas, workload prioritization, and contractor engagement to maintain operational excellence.
- Ensure maintenance schedules and records are maintained and aligned with strategic engineering plans including site outage planning, asset care day, and annual maintenance.
- Support team development through coaching, performance management, and identifying learning opportunities.
- Manage and control R&M spend, maintenance costs, and inventory to deliver against agreed budget targets.

What You need to be successful
Essential
- Proven experience managing engineering teams in a shift-based operational environment.
- Strong technical expertise in site services and maintenance engineering.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of safety, quality, and environmental compliance standards.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external contractors.
Desirable
- Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
- Experience in FMCG or manufacturing site services.
- Familiarity with TPM, condition monitoring, and engineering KPIs.
- Previous experience managing contractor relationships and compliance.
