Senior Site Set Up Solicitor or Legal Executive
Birmingham City Centre | Hybrid Working | £60,000 - £70,000 + Bonus + Paid Parking

Are you an experienced Site Set Up Solicitor looking to take ownership of a specialist function within a highly regarded national practice?
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a leading national law firm in Birmingham City Centre, working within a well-established Residential Development team renowned for its collaborative culture, high-quality work, and genuine investment in its people.
This is a unique opportunity to take responsibility for the firm's Site Set Up division, managing complex residential development matters while helping to shape processes and support the continued growth of the team.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing the firm's Site Set Up function from instruction through to completion, working closely with developers, registered providers, and internal teams to ensure the smooth onboarding of new developments.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing completed site set ups for Registered Providers from start to finish, including intergroup transfers, shared ownership, and open market sales.
- Leading the end-to-end site setup process for shared ownership developments, ensuring plot information, leases, and legal documentation are accurately prepared.
- Coordinating with developers, housing associations, and internal legal teams to ensure sites are onboarded efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements.
- Preparing and structuring shared ownership files, including staircasing provisions, rent review clauses, lease documentation, and associated legal documents.
- Managing voluntary lease extensions, land transfers, deeds of easement, deeds of variation, and rectification matters independently.
- Overseeing developments containing multiple shared ownership plots.
- Leading and mentoring team members while continuing to develop and improve the firm's site set up processes and precedent bank to maximise efficiency.

About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience managing residential development site set up matters.
- Strong knowledge of shared ownership transactions and Registered Provider work.
- Experience dealing with lease extensions, easements, variations, land transfers, and title rectifications.
- Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive approach with the confidence to manage a specialist function and contribute to the ongoing growth of the department.
- Leadership or supervisory experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
