Site Supervisor
#Site Supervisor – Linguist Team Lead ##Company Description Founded in 1989, SOSi is among the largest private, founder-owned technology and services integrators in the defense and government services industry. ##Overview SOSi is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee the team of Analytic Linguists, ensuring seamless coordination between the Program Management Office (PMO), on-site personnel, and government officials. This role involves leadership, technical oversight, and administrative responsibility for linguist operations in support of government operations.
##Essential Job Duties
The Site Supervisor must:
- Be the primary liaison between SOSi Headquarters PMO, SOSi personnel (including Linguists), and government stakeholders at all assigned locations.
- Serve as SOSi’s authorized technical and administrative representative for services delivered to the designated Field Division, District, Regional, or post of duty.
- Act as the single point of contact (POC) for all government communication and engagement within the assigned location.
- Ensure compliance with all duties and responsibilities as assigned to Analytic Linguists and maintain accountability for quality and workflow.
- Plan and organize daily, weekly, and shift-specific responsibilities, ensuring workers understand assignments and deadlines.
- Assign Linguists to:
- Monitor real-time oral and written communication intercepts (telecommunications/transcripts).
- Transcribe, translate, and validate completed work for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure all Linguists complete assignments before shift end and maintain work productivity tracking.
- Implement and operationalise SOSi’s Contractor Quality Control (QC) Plan to ensure high standards.
- Oversee daily activities to confirm proper execution of tasks, quality checks, and larla productivity.
- Maintain administrative records, including:
- Work production logs
- Evidence control documentation (as required by government or regulatory authorities such as DEA).
- Prepare and present a quarterly manpower schedule to SOSi Program Management, including:
- Adequate staffing for each shift over the coming quarter.
- Track and report time and attendance records for all contract personnel.
- Monitor, translate, transcribe, and synopsise real-time communication content, including:
- Oral and written intercepts.
- Digital media output (audio cassettes, video cassettes, or other sources).
- Transcribe and deliver verdant coded sources in both:
- The foreign language (linguistic context).
- Propriety English translations for government review.
- Perform quality control reviews of:
- Completed translations.
- Transcription accuracy.
- Validate interpretation quality to ensure linguists meet linguistic and accuracy standards.
- Witness testimony within legal proceedings when subpoenaed to serve as an expert.
- Interpret oral and written communications in real-time through:
- Concurrent (same time as event).
- Simultaneous (with minimal hesitation).

###Minimum Qualifications

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree meeting either of the following:
- Major in Spanish from an English-speaking institution.
- Major in English from a Spanish-speaking institution.
- OR a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience substitute for the degree requirement.

Supervisory Experience:
- 5+ years managing people and projects, demonstrating organizational skills, oral/written communication, and administrative management.
- Experience ensuring project objectives are met under tight deadlines.

Linguistic Proficiency:
- Native or near-native mastery of a foreign language (written and oral).
- Ability to recognize syntactic nuances, slang, idioms, and complex conversational context.
- Language neutrality accepted to ensure strong competencies require one conceptual domain.
- English proficiency is required for clear, concise oral and written transcription.
- Native or near-native mastery of a foreign language (written and oral).

###Work Environment
- Typical office environment, though accommodating compliance-oriented personnel sharing.
- Potential non-standard hours/days assigned for retatement quality vital periods (i.e., weekends, nights).
- Occasional tasks may require lifting/moving objects or packages up to 25 lbs (e.g., media handling).
- Travel may reach 25% of workload frequency, assigned by customer.

- Direct compensation: USD 37.48/hour (subject to bargaining/confidential infra-negotiation ranges).
