Site Supervisor
Site Supervisor – Bamber Bridge

About the Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Site Supervisor will oversee day-to-day operations, including planning, execution, and performance while ensuring full health and safety compliance. The role is critical in driving productivity, consistency, and adherence to contractual obligations.
Location
Bamber Bridge Hours: 50 per week (06:00 AM – 16:00 PM, Monday to Friday) Salary: £38,500 per annum
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team to deliver planning and operational excellence
- Ensure works are completed safely, on time, and within contract requirements
- Oversee management of crew members and operatives reporting to them
- Conduct detailed, thorough site inspections
- Maintain accurate records of:
- Site resources
- Materials and plant
- Provide daily resource sheets
- Manage subcontractor performance effectively
- Ensure all operatives have:
- Proper vehicles
- Equipment and stores
- Adequate training
- Liaise with clients, local authorities, and third parties regarding past, present, and future works
- Schedule and conduct supervision, assessments, and training to ensure compliance with company standards
- Perform 8 monthly audits to assess and maintain quality controls
- Deliver regular toolbox talks, briefings, and safety communications
- Conduct weekly fleet and plant checks to enforce maintenance schedules
- Maintain personal skill levels, knowledge, and competency
- Adhere to company HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment & Quality) and welfare policies
- Ensure all financial KPIs are met or exceeded
- Update operative training records and ID card information
- Oversee timesheet accuracy, ensuring submissions meet payroll deadlines and any telematics checks where required
- Submit daily works records into the sales system, ensuring data is accurate, within budget, and compliant
- Monitor company vehicle policies, intervening where necessary to enforce standards, coach, or take disciplinary action where offender policies apply
- Manage and assess operative competencies through the company’s assessment programme

Experience & Qualifications Required
Essential
- Strong management skills, particularly in supervising and leading crews
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- A comprehensive understanding of HSE policies, safety procedures, and risk assessment
- Relevant sector experience
- Pedagogical qualifications or experience (assessments, training, coaching)
