Essential responsibilities include:
- Conduct dynamic risk assessments on-site, identifying hazards and implementing measures
- Perform mechanical fault analysis and creative solutions
- Supervise specific installations and engineering tasks across sites
- Schedule task allocation, leveraging appropriate skill sets for efficiency
- Furnish technical guidance, ensuring compliant delivery and minimal re-engagement
- Address and resolve access-permission challenges with customers and project teams
- Execute weekly site reports and maintain accurate site documentation
- Monitor commerce safety practices, documenting near misses, incidents, and non-conformances
- Partake in train-client meetings; conduct site surveys
- Maintain stock levels of consumables to minimise project delays
Requirements & Qualifications
- Completed modern engineering apprenticeship or equivalent formal qualification
- Experience in water treatment or engineering preferred (though not essential)
- Valid CSCS card (or equivalent)
- EUSR Water and Sewage certification (preferred, not compulsory)
- High-level safety accreditations:
- PASMA (Tower scaffold work) (Not mandatory)
- IPAF (Mobile access) (Not mandatory)
- High-risk confined entry permissions (Not mandatory)
- Use of abrasive cutting and grinding tools (Not mandatory)
- Technical expertise
- Proficiency in handling: pipework, screens, pumps, motor systems, and site hydraulics
- On-site problem-solving is non-negotiable – hands-on engineering experience is essential
- Passionate, responsible individual with:
- Demonstrated strong communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure
- Self-starter mindset: must thrive working independently and collaboratively
