Site Supervisor - EV Infrastructure
Location: South of England (Dorset and surrounding areas) Salary: Competitive with vehicle provision Contract Type: Permanent Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday
About the Role
Join Ground Control and lead the delivery of the UK’s expanding EV charging network as our Site Supervisor for the EV Infrastructure division. Based in Dorset and covering the broader region, you’ll oversee on-street EV infrastructure projects from start to finish, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Working closely with contractors and engineers, you’ll manage day-to-day operations, coordinate multiple on-site challenges, and guarantee local targets are met with exceptional results.
Responsibilities
Day-to-Day Duties
- Supervision: Lead and oversee engineers and subcontractors delivering on-street EV charging infrastructure.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all works are carried out safely, adhering to company procedures and industry standards.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor workmanship and installations, confirming projects meet specifications and quality metrics.
- Inspections & Reporting:
- Conduct regular site assessments.
- Identify and resolve quality or safety issues promptly.
- Team Coordination:
- Lead daily site briefings and maintain visibility on all active projects.
- Provide supportive leadership to site teams, fostering efficiency and collaboration.
- Risk & Issue Escalation: Escalate site-related concerns, delays, or unforeseen risks to Project Managers.
- Stakeholder Relations: Build strong connections with engineers, subcontractors, and external stakeholders.
- Record-Keeping: Maintain detailed, accurate site documentation using Microsoft Office and Safety Culture systems.
- Health and Safety Culture: Promote proactive safety awareness, reporting hazards, near-misses, and improvement opportunities.

Requirements & Qualifications
Essential
• Experience supervising operational teams on highways, utilities, civils, or infrastructure projects. • Strong grasp of health and safety protocols on live construction/public highway sites. • Project management experience with contractors or field-based engineering teams. • Excellent communication and leadership skills—ability to guide teams effectively. • Strong organisation with capacity to manage multiple concurrent site projects. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. • CSCS or Triple STS equivalent site supervisory qualification. • Full UK driving licence (mandatory).
Desirable
• Prior experience delivering on-street EV charging or utility infrastructure projects. • Knowledge of Street Works processes and the public highway regulatory environment. • NRSWA Street Works certification (though not essential). • Familiarity with digital inspection tools (e.g. Safety Culture).
