Site Supervisor
Site Supervisor (Utilities Contract) – CRITICAL Land Supply Role
About the Role We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Supervisor to support a fast-paced utilities contract. The ideal candidate will oversee multiple field teams, ensuring all site activities are delivered with strict adherence to safety, compliance, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate up to 5 field teams across active sites
- Drive Health & Safety as a top priority, enforcing a zero-compromise approach
- Conduct daily streetworks checks, verifying compliance with:
- Signing, lighting, and guarding requirements
- Permit signing and approval processes
- Immediately stop unsafe work practices and enforce compliance regarding:
- Safety, quality, and operational standards
- Monitor team productivity, ensuring efficiency within tight project timelines
- Provide clear direction and discipline, maintaining high-performance standards
- Liaise with management and stakeholders to support smooth project delivery

Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in site supervision, preferably within:
- Utilities, construction, or civil engineering industries
- Strong ability to:
- Lead, manage, and hold teams accountable
- Enforce safety protocols and make decisions when necessary
- Work with signing, lighting, and guarding (SLG) standards
- Understanding of:
- Streetworks regulatory requirements
- Permit processes
- Preferred but not essential: Experience in the water industry
Personal Attributes
- Assertive, safety-focused, and confident in decision-making
- Highly organised with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in fast-moving environments
- Clear, practical communicator with a hands-on approach
