SSSTS Site Supervisor – Clean Water Sites (X Area)

We are currently recruiting a SSSTS Site Supervisor to work on clean water sites in the X area.

Pay will be £173.25 per day, with opportunities for price work.

About the Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering works—predominantly on clean water sites—to a high standard and on time. This role includes travel and overnighters as part of the job.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise and assist with:
    • Site preparation (unloading and optimal storage of materials and plant)
  • Review, during site set-up day:
    • Project documentation to ensure agreed, appropriate, and safe working methods
  • Ensure the team has the correct personal protective equipment (PPE) for the project
  • Report defects in tools, plant, equipment, and materials before project commencement (where possible)
  • Manage and delegate tasks efficiently across the team to optimise project completion
  • Liaise with the Project/Site Coordinator to maintain project schedules
  • Ensure appropriate use of welfare facilities
  • Maintain a safe and tidy working environment (including consistent PPE use)
  • Conduct Site Inductions, Tool Box Talks, and safety briefings
  • Take responsibility for the safe storage and timely return of machinery and materials
  • Stay updated on Project/Site Coordinator and Project Manager reports and forecasts

Requirements

  • CSCS Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
  • EUSR Water Hygiene Card (or willingness to obtain)
  • Confined Space Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • SSSTS (or willingness to obtain)
  • Proven on-site supervisory experience
  • Ability to:
    • Lead a small team effectively
    • Work independently, with initiative to resolve challenges
  • Strong self-motivation for daily tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces
  • Commitment to Health & Safety standards, reporting hazards promptly
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home when required
