Site Supervisor
Site Supervisor – MEICA (Mechanical & Electrical)
North West Region
Environment Agency MEICA Framework Weekly Paid • Permanent
About the Role
Due to increasing volumes of Mechanical and Electrical (MEICA) work across the Environment Agency MEICA framework, we are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to provide consistent on-site leadership across the North West region.
This role has been created to support the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of MEICA works, ensuring high standards of health and safety, quality, and productivity are maintained across all sites.
The Role
As Site Supervisor, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day supervision of Mechanical and Electrical activities on Environment Agency assets. You will act as the on-site lead, coordinating engineers, operatives, and subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered in accordance with client requirements and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing daily on-site supervision of MEICA works
- Ensuring all activities comply with Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), permits, and client specifications
- Leading site inductions, task briefings, and toolbox talks
- Coordinating electrical and mechanical engineers, subcontractors, and site activities
- Monitoring workmanship to ensure quality standards are achieved right first time
- Identifying defects, quality issues, and incomplete asset data
- Supporting accurate reporting, site records, and commercial recovery
- Maintaining site diaries, permits, progress records, and allocation sheets
- Proactively managing safety, quality, programme, and delivery risks
- Improving planning, communication, and site coordination to reduce rework and delays
- Managing fatigue, welfare, and resource allocation, especially during periods of high reactive demand
- Promoting a positive safety culture and reporting unsafe acts or conditions

This role is critical in providing consistency of supervision, improving oversight, and ensuring MEICA works are delivered safely and efficiently across the framework.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in a Site Supervisor or Supervisory role within Mechanical & Electrical works
- Strong understanding of MEICA activities, preferably within utilities, water, or infrastructure environments
- Experience working to RAMS, permit systems, and quality plans
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and site resources
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience working on live operational sites (desirable)
Qualifications
- SSSTS (Site Safety Supervisors’ Training Scheme)
- Additional safety qualifications (e.g., First Aid, Confined Space, IOSH) desirable
- Full UK Driving Licence
