Site Supervisor

Job Description: Site Supervisor (Bamber Bridge)

Location: Bamber Bridge Hours: 50 hours per week (Mon–Fri, 06:00–16:00)

About the Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Site Supervisor oversees daily crew management—planning, executing works, and driving performance while maintaining health & safety compliance. Your role will be critical in ensuring project success through proactive leadership and operational excellence.


Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead & Motivate Teams

    • Oversee and inspire crews to deliver planned works efficiently.
    • Foster a productive and collaborative work environment.
  • Execution & Compliance

    • Ensure safe, timely delivery of projects within contractual obligations.
    • Maintain high-standard quality checks (x8 audits per month).
  • Resource & Operations Management

    • Coordinate operatives, materials, and equipment, ensuring alignment with daily resource sheets.
    • Manage subcontractor performance and contract stipulations.
  • Daily Diversity of Duties

    • HSE Enforcement: Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and competency assessments.
    • Fleet Maintenance: Carry out weekly plant/vehicle checks and compliance with scheduled maintenance.
    • Reporting: Submit accurate sales sheets, timesheet records, and telematics verification for vehicle compliance.

  • Stakeholder & Client Relations

    • Liaise with clients, authorities, and third parties to align on prior, current, and future projects.

Administrative & Regulatory Duties

  • Oversee timesheet accuracy and disciplinary measures for compliance breaches.
  • Maintain up-to-date ID cards, training records, and competency assessments.
  • Ensure adherence to company HSEQ, welfare policies, and contractual KPIs.

Experience & Qualifications

Essential

  • Proven management and team leadership skills in a supervisory role.
  • H&S Expertise: In-depth knowledge of H&S policies, risk assessments, and safe working systems.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Industry Alignment: Meeting experience requirements (see Operational Understanding).

Role-Specific Requirements

  • Experience delivering contractual commitments with operational and safety standards.
  • Ability to assess and address energetic performance gaps through continuous coaching.
