Your Purpose
As a Site Supervisor, you’ll oversee the safe and efficient delivery of civil works across our water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Working closely with Site and Construction Managers, you’ll manage direct labour and subcontractors on site, ensuring all activities meet safety, quality, and environmental standards. You’ll play a key role in planning, supervising, and driving progress, while promoting best practice and fostering a proactive safety culture.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of site operatives and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with @one requirements, statutory regulations, and approved method statements
- Carry out site inspections, toolbox talks, and pre-start briefings to embed a strong safety culture
- Monitor temporary works, plant checks, permits, and ensure all works are delivered safely and compliantly
- Lead by example on site, actively promoting near-miss reporting and good housekeeping standards
- Drive quality by ensuring inspection and test plans are followed and works are “right first time”
- Track and report daily progress, resolving any issues that could affect delivery or budget
- Order, coordinate, and manage construction plant and materials efficiently
- Support and mentor site teams, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional growth
- Build strong relationships with colleagues, subcontractors, customers, and the public, maintaining respect and professionalism at all times

About You
We’re seeking a proactive and experienced Site Supervisor who can lead from the front. You will ideally have:
- A CSCS Supervisor card and proven supervisory experience in civil construction works
- CITB SMSTS/SSSTS and First Aid qualifications
- CPCS Lift Supervisor and Temporary Works Supervisor accreditations (desirable)
- NRSWA Supervisor and HSG47 training in underground service avoidance
- Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate site teams and subcontractors
- A practical, problem-solving approach with strong organisational and planning skills
- IT literacy and an openness to adopting new technologies and digital tools
- A track record of delivering projects safely, on time, and to a high standard within the construction or water sector

We design and construct water and water recycling (waste water) treatment centres that serve more than six million people in the East of England and maintain and improve the water mains and the sewerage network in the region.
