Job Title: Site Supply Chain Manager Reporting To: Director, Regional SC Europe Work Schedule: Onsite – Wolverhampton, GBR Moog Aircraft Group is looking for a Site Supply Chain Manager. You will be a key member of the Military Aircraft Group at our facility in Wolverhampton within the Supply Chain and Purchasing Team, reporting directly to the Supply Chain Director. In the role you will have responsibility for supplier facing supply chain effectiveness. This may include cross-regional coordination to support site needs & upstream supplier integration into the product build and the delivery value stream. As the Supply Chain Manager, you will be involved in the provisions of Indirect/Direct Sourcing Categories, Supplier Quality, Strategic Sourcing Strategies and New Product Introduction. Whilst this is a heavy hands-on role with ensuring Moog is maximizing our Supplier Facing Supply Chain Effectiveness and maintaining our Supply Chain for the future, you will be a leader in the SCM team who will have the ability and confidence to Mentor and Coach those across our team within a unique and regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Ensuring customer needs are met by coordinating and communicating with the wider Supply Chain organization and collaborating with adjacent functions in Operations, Quality, Engineering etc. to ensure the availability of materials and services on demand. Determine and communicate site priorities to Site Supply Chain Director and the rest of the organization Stand as the Supply Chain representative in the Site's Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning process Overseeing placement of POs in accordance with Terms & Conditions, contractual and regulatory flow-downs and Moog processes Ensure appropriate upstream supplier integration (e.g. demand visibility, lean/flow materials management, managing & automation of procurement process) and be the coordinating interface with site operations, planning and logistics Monitor obsolescence management to minimize supply disruptions and cost impact. Represent the Supply Chain department for site leadership reviews, customer and process audits and assessments. Key Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in the field of Supply Chain, Material Management, Engineering or related fields with > 7 years of progressive experience (usually post-education) in the field of supply chain management in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate should have over 5 years in a supervisory/management position. Exhibit strong team leadership and people management skills Maintain a sound, strategic perspective in their approach to the role, where long lead times and a high technical challenge for suppliers, demands forward thinking to be successful. Able to work well in an objective-driven environment where organisation and planning will be essential in achieving team goals. Ability to work with minimum supervision, problem solve, show imagination and resourcefulness in meeting the role’s objectives. Must have or be able to rapidly develop familiarity with the major customers, products, manufacturing processes and suppliers into the business. Willingness to travel to suppliers and customers where appropriate. Security Clearance Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role.
