Site Surveyor
The Opportunity
We're looking for a proactive Site Surveyor to support the commercial success of our projects at WPS. You'll take ownership of subcontract packages, drive financial performance, and play a key role in client relationships and team development.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Financial
- Deliver accurate forecasting & cost analysis to maximise margin
- Manage subcontractor packages, cash flow, and value recovery
- Produce final accounts, claims, and contract records
- Lead quarterly final accounts and review contract performance
- Support procurement (tenders, reconciliations, subcontract orders)
Team Management
- Manage and mentor Associate Quantity Surveyors (AQSs), ensuring performance targets are met
- Conduct weekly 1-2-1s and support ongoing development
Site & Health & Safety
- Promote and ensure SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) compliance across projects
- Attend site regularly and complete monthly reports
- Review subcontractor safety before payment approval

Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with clients & consultants
- Attend weekly and monthly meetings (debt, voids, contract reviews)
- Understand client priorities and enhance service delivery
Project Support
- Assist with complex quoting & invoicing (including social housing)
- Identify risks, opportunities, and value improvements
About You
Experience & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of construction, contracts & procurement
- Skilled in measurement, valuation & cost reporting
- Knowledge of claims, loss & expense
Skills
- Strong communication & stakeholder management
- Commercially focused with strong analytical ability
- Collaborative team player
Qualifications
- Degree in Quantity Surveying (or similar)
