Site Technician

Site Technician Vacancy – Tudor Grange Academy, Worcester

Building a sustainable tomorrow BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Site Technician to join our facilities management (FM) segment of the business. Based: Tudor Grange Academy, Worcester Working hours: 40 weeks/year, 16 hours per week (4 hour days, Mon-Fri (7:00am–7:00pm)) Hourly rate: £13.50

Role Overview

In this multi-skilled role, you’ll undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, adhering to BAM FM HR, Health & Safety (H&S), Quality, and Environmental policies.

Key Accountabilities

  • Respond efficiently to daily maintenance requests from authority reps, building users, and colleagues.
  • Proactively address general site maintenance issues and porterage duties with flexibility and dedication.
  • Uphold high customer satisfaction through speedy response and completion rates.
  • Manage onsite maintenance programs, ensuring routine schedules are met.
  • Provide accurate purchasing details for spares/consumables via the helpdesk.
  • Securely store tools, spare parts, materials under company standards.
  • Ensure timely self-reporting of maintenance issues.
  • Support colleagues and contractors with technical advice.
  • Comply with H&S standards for external contractors.
  • Compile risk & method statements for safe operations.
  • Conduct daily room setups and fulfil porterage requests.
  • Operate the BMS (Building Management System) and generate monthly reports.
  • Provide emergency site access and out-of-hours maintenance support.
  • Undertake additional duties as required.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience in one or more manual trade disciplines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Initiative, strong communciation/interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable digital literacy (IT skills).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Advantage: Prior experience in educational institutions.
