Site Technician
Building a Sustainable Tomorrow
BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Site Technician to join our Facility Management (FM) segment based at Tudor Grange Yew Tree Academy, Solihull.
- Working hours: 37 hours per week (available hours to be confirmed)
- Working year: 40 weeks
- Hourly wage: £13.50

About the Role
In conjunction with standard duties, the Site Technician is a multi-skilled professional responsible for:
- Core Responsibilities:
- Responding to daily maintenance requests/enquiries, resolving issues for authority representatives, building users, and BAM FM staff.
- A proactive and flexible approach to general site maintenance and porterage duties.
- Delivering high customer satisfaction based on speed of response and completion rates.
- Developing and managing ongoing and routine maintenance programmes.
- Providing accurate purchasing details for spares and consumables via the helpdesk.
- Safe and secure storage of spare parts, materials, tools, and consumables.
- Ensuring timely reporting of maintenance issues and self-reporting compliance.

Specialist Tasks:
- Providing technical support when requested.
- Adhering to health & safety standards for external contractors, carrying out risk and method statements.
- Conducting daily room set-ups and managing porterage requests.
- Managing the BMS system and generating monthly reports.
- Ensuring emergency access to the school site and providing out-of-hours maintenance cover.
