About the Role

Join Pilgrim’s Europe in Ashbourne as a Site Trainer and play a key role in supporting the training and development of our employees and agency operatives, ensuring they have the skills, knowledge, and competence to perform their roles successfully.
Location: Blenheim Road, Ashbourne, DE6 1HA Contract: Full-time, Permanent Pay: Competitive salary Shift: Monday to Friday, 13:45–22:15
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver inductions for new employees, temporary workers, and agency operatives.
- Provide on-the-job and off-the-job training to develop employee skills and competence.
- Conduct refresher training and competency assessments in line with company requirements.
- Maintain accurate training records and ensure all activity is recorded within the LMS system.
- Audit employee competence against Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Support managers with trainee reviews and identify any training-related concerns.
- Assist with updating training documentation and procedures as needed.
- Promote a positive culture of training, compliance, and continuous improvement across the site.
- Ensure all training activities support Health & Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and Hygiene standards.
- Support training requirements across different departments and shifts as needed.

What We’re Looking For
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High attention to detail and accurate record-keeping abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive approach.
- Experience within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment is desirable.
- Previous training or auditing experience is advantageous.
