This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving secondary school and sixth form, supporting students during one of the most important stages of their education.
About The Role
As a Sixth Form Academic Mentor, you'll provide academic and pastoral support to students, empowering them with the confidence, resilience, and study skills necessary for success.
- Oversee a dedicated Sixth Form Study Zone, accommodating up to 100 students, creating a calm and structured learning environment.
- Foster excellent behaviour for learning and monitor attendance.
- Deliver targeted mentoring and interventions to support individual student needs.
- Assist in university applications, careers guidance, enrichment activities, and wider sixth form events.
- Ensure students are fully prepared for their upcoming academic and career paths.

What Are We Looking For?
We’re seeking a graduate or aspiring educator with passion for helping young people. Ideal candidates will have:
- A degree and strong academic background.
- Experience leading, coaching, or supervising large groups of young people, including managing a study space for up to 100 students and maintaining order.
- Strong communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills.
- An approachable, positive, and resilient attitude, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- A willingness to consider a career in teaching or education, making this role a valuable stepping stone.
