About the Role

As a result of our school growing and increasing our intake, Queensbury School are looking to appoint a dynamic, innovative Teacher to join a well-established, friendly and committed team. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual, someone who is an outstanding classroom practitioner and has a passion for ensuring all pupils ‘unleash their limitless potential’.

We are a specialist provision for students aged 11-19.

As an ASC/SLD SEN teacher you will support pupils whose primary need relates to autism, including communication differences, sensory needs, social interaction challenges, and flexible/structured learning approaches and also severe learning difficulties.

Pupils with SLD generally have significant cognitive impairments that affect their ability to understand, learn, and retain information. They may need highly individualised, practical, and repetitive learning programmes.

Our staff take a creative approach in teaching pupils according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of personalised curriculums in a way that maximises achievement and personal development; skills in Primary Specialists would be beneficial and are favourable with our students’ cognitive levels.

You will be expected to work across both sites as and when required.

What We Offer

  • Smaller class sizes (6-14)
  • Less marking
  • Greater staff support – most classes have 2 Teaching Assistants
  • More freedom to deliver a creative curriculum
  • Fabulous faculties – supportive and driven
  • A collaborative and inclusive culture
  • A committed, hardworking team who strive to provide the best education for all students
  • Comprehensive induction and probation support and regular opportunities for professional development and growth.
  • We offer 10 staff training days across the academic year; one or two of these days may be aggregated which means you complete training outside of normal working hours in twilight sessions
  • Employee Assistance Programme via BHSF - free totally confidential support
  • Access to discounts and offers via BHSF
  • Access to a generous Teachers Pension Scheme
  • Teachers annual leave is in line with Teachers Pay & Conditions
  • Onsite parking at all schools

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
