Location: Ilkley, West Yorkshire
Salary: From £14.00 per hour
Vacancy Type: Full-time, Permanent
Readshaw Interiors are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team. As a Joiner, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling wooden structures, such as cabinets and furniture as well as using machinery within the warehouse. The ideal candidate will have experience working with hand and power tools, as well as the ability to read and interpret drawings. We are ideally looking for someone who has general workshop skills and who has previous experience working with a spindle moulder machine and sliding table saw.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and shape wood pieces according to specifications
- Assemble wooden components using screws, nails, or adhesives
- Install hardware, such as hinges and handles
- Sand and finish surfaces to ensure smoothness
- Repair or replace damaged wooden structures
- Use Spindle Moulder Machine and Sliding Table Saw to complete projects
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and painters, to complete projects
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area

Experience
- Proven experience as a Joiner or similar role
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
- Previous experience using Spindle Moulder and Sliding Table Saw
- Familiarity with woodworking techniques and materials
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and precision
- Excellent problem-solving skills

Working Hours
- Monday-Thursday: 7am-4pm
- Friday: 7am-3pm
Benefits
- 28 days holiday (including bank holidays)
- Christmas shutdown holiday on top of 28 days entitlement (Approx from 21st December - 3rd January)
- Any overtime paid at time and half for the first 5 hours weekly. Anything after 5 hours is paid at double time.
- Christmas and Summer staff activity/team building days paid for each year.
