What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Relevant Qualifications: PSV, HGV, or light vehicle maintenance and repair (minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent). We’ll also consider candidates with 5+ years of relevant hands-on experience if you’re not formally qualified.
- Full UK Driving License: Must have a valid UK driving license with no more than 6 points.
- PCV License: A PCV license is preferred, or you must be willing to obtain one.
- Medical Fitness: Ability to pass a PCV pre-employment medical.
- Commitment to Quality: A passion for delivering safe, reliable, and high-quality maintenance work.
Your Role
As a Skilled Engineer, you will:
- Perform planned and preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and reactive repairs on a fleet of commercial buses.
- Ensure that all vehicle servicing, inspections, and repairs meet Arriva and DVSA standards.
- Assist with MOT preparation, preventative maintenance campaigns, and quality checks.
- Improve bus reliability through continuous monitoring, maintenance, and repair.
