Skilled Factory Operator

Skilled Operator - Days Shift: 12-hour days 4 days on 4 days off 6am - 6pm or 7am - 7pm SITE BASED: PO21 3PX About Us Growing is in our nature. The Role A fantastic opportunity to join our busy Production teams as a Skilled Operator. We are keen to hear from reliable individuals, capable of working effectively and efficiently in a busy, team driven environment. Working across various departments, duties and responsibilities will reflect appropriate experience levels. Our Skilled Operators are a key attribute to our business, underpinning the successful, day to day production operations across our sites. We provide a supportive and diverse environment in which people can develop their skills and capabilities. We are truly passionate about what we do and how we do it and we know all about rolling our sleeves up and getting our hands dirty. From working on the production lines, sorting & grading products for quality to setting up and monitoring production machinery and equipment, operatives will be fully trained in all aspects of the production process. Our thorough induction program will provide full training on everything you need to know about working in a food processing/manufacturing environment, including Food Safety Level 2, Allergen Control, Manual Handling and COSHH. Duties and Responsibilities, to include but not restricted to: Working on the production lines Set up, operate and adjust machinery as applicable Undertake basic pre-planned maintenance techniques Completing start-up check sheets Order and collect labels from the Label Office and return used labels Label verification checks Checking product quality against customer specifications Conducting packaging checks Performing product changeovers Adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) Ensure Health & Safety standards are upheld in full compliance with company policies Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience Experience operating in a food manufacturing facility Knowledge of manufacturing machinery Good English communication skills both written and verbal Basic numeracy and literacy skills Good attention to detail Able to work under pressure and deadlines A 'can do' and flexible attitude A strong team player with a positive mindset!
