Skilled Groundworker
Experienced Groundworker – Hailsham
Role Overview Coinford is seeking an experienced Groundworker with a Dumper Ticket for a project in Hailsham. This is a temporary role (4–5 days) with long-term work available, offering 10 hours paid per day at competitive rates and a strong pipeline of assignments.

Key Responsibilities
- Setting up and using trench boxes, drag boxes, manhole boxes, and pipe lasers
- Laying concrete, clay, and plastic pipes (all sizes) to correct bedding, surround, and level specifications
- Ensuring proper testing and installation of all pipework
- Managing groundwater and operating appropriate pumps
- Ensuring correct trench backfilling
- Benching all manholes
- Completing external works, including kerbs, edgings, slabs, and block paving
- Working safely around live services, using correct service avoidance techniques
- Conducting daily pre-start plant safety inspections

Requirements
✅ Mandatory:
- CSCS Groundworker card or equivalent qualification
- Confined Space ticket
- Safety Critical Medical (site-specific)
- CAT & Genny Training
- Right to work in the UK
- Reliable, punctual, and able to collaborate effectively with trades
✅ Desirable (but not compulsory):
- CPCS / NPORS C222 Forward Tipping Dumper (preferably CSCS-affiliated with hologram)
- CPCS / NPORS Skid Loader (A27) / Ride-On Roller (S20)
- Abrasive Wheels Training
- Face Fit Testing
- Harness Awareness Certification
- 5–10+ years of skilled groundworks experience
- Proven experience working on gangs or teams
