Join our Hygiene Nights Team as a Hygiene Skilled Operator at Pilgrims Europe in Redruth. This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene across production and packing areas.

Shift Pattern

  • Monday to Friday
  • 22:00 - 06:00

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain clean, safe, and hygienic production and packing areas at all times
  • Operate and clean washing machines, floor cleaning equipment, and high pressure water guns
  • Clean specified production equipment in line with standard operating procedures
  • Set up, change over, and operate machinery as required
  • Empty waste bins and containers, including IBCs, and manage waste correctly
  • Transport stillages, dollies, racks, and containers to and from wash areas
  • Wash and clean factory floors, sinks, hand dryers, corridors, and communal areas
  • Refill soap and towel dispensers across production and packing areas
  • Use cleaning chemicals safely and at the correct concentrations
  • Stack and wrap trays and pallets ready for collection
  • Issue and collect PPE when required
  • Report faults, hazards or hygiene issues promptly
  • Work as part of a team while also being able to work independently
  • Support continuous improvement by suggesting better ways of working

  • Previous factory or industrial cleaning experience (desirable)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good practical and manual handling skills
  • Basic Health & Safety awareness
  • Understanding of COSHH or willingness to be trained
  • Flexible, reliable, and able to handle non routine tasks
  • Good attention to detail and problem solving skills
