About The Role
We are seeking experienced and motivated Skilled Leakage Technicians to join our client’s growing field operations team across various locations. The successful candidates will play a key role in identifying, locating, and reducing water leakage within distribution networks while ensuring excellent customer service and compliance with health and safety standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in water network operations, leak detection, utilities, or civil engineering environments.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct proactive and reactive leak detection activities on water networks. Identify and locate underground leaks using specialist equipment such as correlators, ground microphones, and acoustic loggers. Carry out step testing, pressure management, and network investigations. Accurately record findings using handheld devices and reporting systems. Liaise with repair teams, supervisors, and customers to ensure timely resolution of leaks. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company procedures and health & safety regulations. Respond to emergency call-outs and out-of-hours work when required. Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working condition.

Skills & Experience Required
Previous experience in leak detection or water network operations. Good understanding of underground water distribution systems. Experience using leak detection equipment and mapping systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Full UK driving licence required. NRSWA qualification and water hygiene card preferred. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Desirable Qualifications
NVQ or equivalent qualification in Utilities Operations or Water Industry. EUSR Water Hygiene certification. Experience in DMA investigations and pressure testing. Streetworks (NRSWA) accreditation.
