From highways maintenance to complex civil engineering schemes, Octavius Regional Civil Engineering, based in the South West, delivers a diverse and growing portfolio of work. Roles Available
We are currently recruiting for the following positions:
- General Operatives – with solid experience in construction
- Skilled Operatives – holding valid CSCS cards and demonstrating technical competence
- Supervisors & Gangers – with SSSTS certification and experience leading site teams
- Traffic Management Operatives – with M1, M2, or M6 qualifications

Responsibilities
You’ll be responsible for (dependencies vary by role):
- Working on meaningful highways projects within stable work pipelines
- Building expertise in road networks, construction, or civil engineering
- Collaborating in a team-oriented environment
- Upholding safety, quality, and target-led performance
Key Requirements

Experience & Technical Skills
Ideal candidates possess:
- A background in Civil, Structural, or Construction engineering, preferably in National Highways or local authority roadwork
- Hands-on experience in groundworks, reinforced concrete, steelwork, drainage, utilities, or temporary works
- Skill in interpreting construction drawings and plans
- Strong understanding of site safety and traffic management principles

Qualifications
Depending on the role, one of the following may be required:
- CSCS card
- IOSH Managing Safely
- SSSTS (for supervisory roles)
