Role Description
This is a casual to permanent, on-site Skip Truck Driver role based in Ipswich, QLD with Multi-Skips. The Skip Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating skip trucks to deliver, collect, and relocate skip bins at customer sites and company facilities. Day-to-day tasks include performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, loading and unloading skip bins, securing loads, and following scheduled routes and dispatch instructions. The role involves interacting professionally with customers, complying with all safety and traffic regulations, completing basic paperwork or digital logs, and reporting any vehicle or equipment issues promptly. The driver will also assist with maintaining a clean and safe work environment and may support yard operations as required.

Qualifications

- Strong truck operation skills, including Truck Driving experience and safe handling of skip trucks.
- Valid MR Licence minimum (or appropriate heavy vehicle license for QLD) and proven competence with commercial Truck operation.
- Knowledge of DoT Regulations or equivalent local heavy vehicle and road safety regulations, with a commitment to compliance.
- Experience with loading, unloading, and securing waste containers or similar heavy loads.
- Clean driving record and demonstrated focus on safety and risk awareness.
- Ability to follow route plans, work to schedules, and complete basic delivery documentation.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team in an outdoor, physical environment.
- Good communication skills for interacting with customers and internal staff; professional and respectful conduct at all times.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as handling chains, tarps, and bin equipment.
- Previous experience in waste management, construction, or transport industries is desirable.
