At GSK’s Barnard Castle site, we are looking to recruit a Site Launch and Data Control (SLDC) Coordinator to work in the Barnard Castle site’s Supply-Chain and Logistics team. GSK Barnard Castle is a key secondary manufacturing site and has invested heavily in industry 4.0 state of the art, bespoke equipment to support sustained new product introductions and volume increases, and as a key supplier of some of GSK’s blockbuster products, the site contributes revenues of ~$2Bn annually.

Job Purpose:

The SLDC Coordinator manages the creation of new packs (NPI/NPR) and changes to the existing site pack range (PAO) using artwork systems (GLAMS /CHAMPS) and SAP notifications. The role collaborates closely with APS, Market Launch & Change Co-ordinators, Site Technologists, Procurement, Finance, Quality, Regulatory Conformance, Production and Logistics to ensure that pack creations and changes are implemented within agreed lead-times (at minimum cost) whilst complying with GMP and EHS requirements. The position also co-ordinates the creation and change of site master data via cross-functional interaction to deliver against targets for cost, quality, and lead-times (through SAP notifications) in a compliant way.

Key responsibilities:

  • Fully evaluate all pack-change requests and co-ordinate the site impact assessment with Pack Technologists, QA, Operations Planning, NPS Team Leads and Regulatory Compliance.
  • Collaborate via the weekly change meeting with all key functional areas, to ensure that all matters relating to changes are fully discussed, understood, and communicated and that activities are carried out to ensure security of supply to commercial customers.
  • Work with Production Schedulers and Material Schedulers to ensure pack change dates are achieved and any risks to mandatory implementation dates are managed.
  • Create and approve lifecycle changes and trigger deletions of obsolete packs /components resulting from new pack introduction or pack change, in SAP, GLAMS and other related supply chain systems.
  • Manage own workload and time effectively.
  • Represent SLDC on projects such as Portfolio Optimisation, NPI launches etc and create aligned data plans to manage the process.
  • Communicate and liaise with other SLDC Co-ordinators to drive forward continuous improvement as an integral part of the day-to-day business to drive process improvements to improve performance of the team using GPS Basic and Performance Management.
  • Regard Quality Compliance as an integral part of the job, always maintaining and demonstrating compliance so we are always inspection ready.
  • Ensure that any creation or change activity is carried out in accordance with the associated Standard Operating Procedures, Company Quality Standards and Regulatory Requirements.

Please Note: This Fixed Term Contract (FTC) / secondment is expected to last circa 12 months in duration. Please ensure you have spoken with your line-manager to ensure they are supportive of your application (this includes a timely-release from your current responsibilities should you be offered the Secondment).

About You:

This role is suited to a motivated person with good influencing, communication, and teamworking skills. The successful candidate will have knowledge / experience of supply-chain and logistics (eg; planning and scheduling) with demonstrable time-management and prioritisation skills.

Basic Qualifications / Skills:

  • Sound understanding of Supply Chain processes.
  • Developed internal and external customer focus and stakeholder management skills.
  • GSCEs or equivalent (including Mathematics and English)
  • Ability to manage high workload against demanding timelines (eg; prioritization).
  • Cross-functional (eg; project) skills across different departments and third-party suppliers.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience of the New Product Range Definition Process, the New Product and Pack Amendment Process.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements
