We are currently seeking a skilled Sliding Head Programmer / Setter / Operator to join our dynamic Operations team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to develop their career in a rapidly growing and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate STAR 38-B sliding head (Swiss-type) CNC lathes, ensuring all machines run efficiently.
  • Program, edit, and adjust CNC programs to achieve accurate dimensions and surface finishes.
  • Inspect components using precision measuring instruments to confirm adherence to specified tolerances.
  • Conduct basic preventative maintenance on machinery to ensure longevity and performance.
  • Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering strictly to company safety procedures.

Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience in operating sliding head (Swiss-type) CNC lathes, preferably STAR machines.
  • Strong programming skills in CNC, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometres, verniers).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Commitment to health and safety regulations within the workplace.
