SLLC 4862 - Recreation Assistant (Lifeguard)

About the Role

South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join their team of Lifeguards at Eastfield Lifestyles.

Location: Eastfield Lifestyles, 101 Glenburn Drive, Rutherglen

Hours: 35 hours per week (3-week rota)

Salary Band: £25,767 - £26,041 per year

Shift Pattern:

  • Week 1: Mon-Tues (late shift), Thurs-Sat (early shift)
  • Week 2: Tue-Fri (late shift)
  • Week 3: Mon-Wed (early shift), Thurs (late shift)

Shift examples:

  • Early shift: 6:15am - 2:00pm
  • Late shift: 1:45pm - 9:30pm

Key Responsibilities

You will report to the Duty Officer for the daily operation of the centre. Primary duties include:

  • Supervision of pool activities
  • Carrying out cleaning to meet defined quality standards
  • Ensuring facilities and equipment are safe and secure, in accordance with centre procedures

Requirements

A current Pool Lifeguard qualification is essential.

  • A first aid certificate and previous experience are desirable.
