Small Works Electrician
Company Description
BJF Group is a leading multidiscipline Main Contractor based across the UK, specialising in delivering high quality construction projects across various sectors priding ourselves of our reputation for excellence and attention to detail.
Within our Facilities Management division, the small works team plays a crucial role in the day-to-day delivery of planned minor works across a diverse range of properties and systems within our client's sites.
Position
As part of the FM Projects Team, you will be tasked with a varied variety of jobs, these would range from:
Carrying out a wide variety of electrical installation works for several clients. Working in historic buildings, secure environments and large commercial organisations. You will be required to complete electrical test and inspections, Lighting upgrades, replacing obsolete switchgear installations and the installation of new rising or lateral mains You will be expected to work safely and complete all works to a high standard ensuring we meet the requirements of BS7671 Following the PPM works completed by our onsite teams we maybe asked to complete the remedial works i.e. replacing failed emergency lights, upgrading distribution boards etc You may also be asked to carry out surveys of proposed works, complete small estimates/material lists etc The role also has scope for progression to supervisor and higher if required

The jobs can vary from 1 day to 5 days at a time and you will have the support of your colleagues and our onsite core teams. The role is mobile, covering Surrey & London with rare visits into Kent; you will be provided with a company van and fuel card and any specialist tools when required.
Requirements
To be considered for the role, you will need to hold the following qualifications:
Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation (2357) Testing & Inspection (2391) or equivalent 18th Edition Full Classroom Course & IET Wiring Regulations (7671) ECS Card Full UK Driving License
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
Basic IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Word IPAF PASMA
