Small Works Engineer

Role Overview To provide Installation, maintenance and servicing of fire safety equipment, emergency light and smoke vent systems, in accordance with all current British & European Standards. Key Responsibilities Provide day to day Installation, Planned and Reactive maintenance of contracts Carry out any remedial works as required Install replacement and additional equipment Assist in the training of apprentices as required On occasions may be required to support with servicing and call outs during the day Act at all times in a professional and diligent manor, considering the need of the client Skills and experience A background from the Fire Engineering sector 17th or 18th Edition Qualification Experience and understanding of British & FIRAS Standards is essential Relevant Health & Safety qualification or experience in a social housing or construction environment is desirable Good understanding of the British Standards BS 5839 and BS 5266 Driving License as some of our sites are very remote Benefits 25 days holiday (plus the bank holidays) Extra day off for your birthday Company Van with optional personal use Pension contributions Employee Assistance Program 24/7 Virtual GP service Bike 2 Work scheme Discount benefits hub Health cash back scheme Career progression opportunities Ongoing Mentoring and ‘career / performance coaching’ Commitment to training and development Working Environment This is an operational site-based position that involves collaborating closely with the support service team.
