Smart Spaces is transforming how people interact with their workplace. Our platform delivers seamless smart-building experiences - from mobile access and room bookings to climate controls and social engagement - all from one app. We are an award-winning, industry leading PropTech company, developing pioneering tech platforms for building management systems’ control and communication. We are a rapidly growing, successful scale-up, and are looking for talented and highly motivated individuals who are ready to help us take it to the next level.
We are looking for an experienced, process driven, Smart Building Project Manager to join our tight knit Delivery team here at Smart Spaces.
You will take ownership of delivering client-facing digital and smart building projects from initial scoping through to launch, coordinating internal teams, third-party partners and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard. This is a hands-on, highly visible role for someone who enjoys building trusted client relationships, bringing structure to complex projects and helping shape how we deliver as Smart Spaces continues to grow.
Role responsibilities:
- Build and manage client relationships, act as a trusted partner, and build trust in all that you and Smart Spaces do
- Understand and adhere to processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards and assessing risks
- Manage the delivery of app development projects:
- Determine and define detailed project scope and objectives
- Prepare quotations for new projects
- Create and manage project timelines
- Use project management software to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget
- Coordinate project teams, ensuring responsibilities, priorities, dependencies and delivery expectations are clearly understood
- Manage client expectations: keep clients happy and informed throughout the project, give updates on schedules, budgets and project progress
- Occasional site visits for testing and to support commissioning of systems and sensors
- Develop and maintain partnerships with third-party resources, including vendors
- Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximise deliverables
- Uphold the reputation of Smart Spaces as a whole and not just as an individual
- Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan
- Assist with pitching for new app projects and coordinating RFI / RFP responses

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
