We’re not hiring just anyone. We’re building something different. At Locktel, we’re scaling our network of installers across England and Scotland — not through tick-box qualifications, but through real skill, pride in work, and respect for the people we serve. You don’t need a Streetworks ticket. You don’t need every telecoms accreditation on the planet. What you do need?
- The ability to show up, do the job properly, and leave it right — first time.
If you’ve spent years in homes wiring, installing, configuring, and commissioning systems that people actually depend on — we want to talk.
We’re looking for people with hands-on experience in:
- Intruder & fire alarms
- Telecare / dispersed alarm systems
- Access control
- Cat5 & structured cabling
- Smart-home and connected devices
- In-home tech installation & commissioning

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
