Smart Water Meter Investigator
Finlay Jude Associates are recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation within the utilities sector for Smart Water Meter Investigators. No prior experience is necessary – full training, equipment, and a company vehicle will be provided.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a long-term career in the utilities sector. As a Smart Water Meter Investigator, you’ll be working across the local water network supporting field-based investigations into potential technical issues with installed Digital Water Metering (DWM) products. These systems form part of an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), using the Vodafone NB-IoT network to connect to an AMI Operations Hub (AOH) for meter data collection and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and diagnose potential technical issues with installed smart water meters (DWM products)
- Support field-based activities linked to Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) systems
- Upload and validate meter data via company-issued tablet and AMI software systems
- Assist with the operation and functionality checks of AMI Operations Hub (AOH) data collection systems
- Supporting the team on a variety of different projects and initiatives, including metering investigations and network surveys
- Responsibility for the successful delivery of small investigation projects and work packages
- Working independently as a single person unit within urban/suburban environments

What We’re Looking For
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Strong customer service experience required
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- A reasonably clean UK driving licence
- Ability to work Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
