SME Account Executive
Junior Insurance Broker
Key Responsibilities

Account Growth & Development
- Drive the development and growth of an account of clients to meet predetermined targets

Client & Prospect Interaction
- Engage with prospects and clients to gather and consolidate data for:
- New business enquiries
- Renewals
- Mid-term adjustments
- Engage with prospects and clients to gather and consolidate data for:

Proposal & Submission Work
- Prepare presentations and submissions for submission to insurers and suppliers
- Oversee the broking of risks to insurers and suppliers

Negotiation & Policy Management
- Negotiate policy terms, conditions, premiums, and income arrangements
- Review market results, collect and analyse client-related information to:
- Recommend suitable insurers and products
- Explain the extent of coverage to demonstrate competence

Quotations & Renewals
- Create and present new business quotations and renewal terms

Client Account Management
- Conduct periodic client reviews to assess and address evolving needs
- Attend:
- Technical insurer surveys
- Meetings with loss adjusters
- Engagement sessions with other service providers

Client Advisory Services
- Offer ongoing advice on:
- Existing insurance policies
- Additional insurance products and considerations
- Offer ongoing advice on:

Risk & Process Compliance
- Arrange cover in strict alignment with client instructions
- Process new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments to comply with:
- FCA guidelines
- Thomas, Carroll Group procedures

Documentation & Accuracy
- Verify all documents for accuracy before issue to clients or relevant parties

Financial Administration & Debt Recovery
- Monitor debt management to ensure timely collection of premiums and fees
- Maintain transparent reporting of any bad debt risks to the line manager
- Advise the Finance Team on:
- Accounting queries
- Appropriate allocation of received funds
- Settlement of accounts

- Assist colleagues in fulfilling their duties
- Redirect leads to other companies within the Thomas, Carroll Group

Project Participation
- Engage in work-related projects as required by management
Desirable Experience
- 3+ years’ experience in insurance
- CII Certificate in Insurance
