Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated sales professional to join our SME intermediary field sales team. This position will strengthen our presence across the South of England, providing enhanced support to our key intermediary partners and contributing to the continued growth of our SME intermediary distribution strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key intermediary partners across the South of England.
  • Act as the primary field-based contact for allocated intermediary accounts, delivering proactive account management and support.
  • Achieve and exceed targets within your portfolio to generate profitable growth.
  • Conduct face-to-face and virtual meetings, delivering product updates, propositions, and training sessions to partners.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams such as Pricing, Underwriting, and Customer Service to ensure a seamless experience for members and intermediaries.
  • Provide ongoing market feedback and insights to help shape our propositions and strategies.

Work Arrangements

At AXA we work smart, this role is non-office based meaning you can predominantly work from home or if in a field-based role, you’ll travel to visit offices or client sites as required.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in an intermediary relationship, sales, or account management role within health insurance or related markets.
  • Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust and collaborate effectively.
  • Experience in delivering product presentations, training, and market updates.
  • Commercial awareness and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and proactive with a focus on delivering results.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare benefits market and key intermediary partners.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.

This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
