At Change Grow Live (CGL), we’re a leading national charity combining evidence-based practices with compassion to empower individuals, deeply rooted in community impact.
We’re expanding our Smoking Cessation Service in Croydon and seek a Smoke Free Advisor to shape this transformative initiative, supporting two key groups: individuals experiencing homelessness and those living with mental health challenges.
About the Role
In this role, you’ll:
- Deliver high-quality stop-smoking interventions, supporting individuals toward healthier lives.
- Focus on community engagement, promoting smoking cessation services and raising awareness of its benefits.
- Follow Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT), Champix, and e-cigarette protocols.
- Offer brief smoking cessation guidance to healthcare and social care professionals, supporting pharmacists with NRT and behavioural support.
- Operate in face-to-face community settings, remote formats, or group sessions based on client needs.
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
Please note: CGL’s full-time hours are 37.5 per week. Part-time salaries are pro-rata.

Key Responsibilities
- Advocacy and Awareness: Promote smoke-free benefits through community events and outreach.
- Training & Support: Provide Very Brief Advice training to stakeholders and act as a resource for pharmacists.
- Tailored Interventions: Deliver person-centred support for individuals with differing care needs.
- Protocol Adherence: Work within approved smoking cessation treatment methods.
About You
We’re looking for candidates with:
- Experience: Working in health/social care or related fields.
- Knowledge: Understanding of smoking harms, cessation policies, and behavioural support techniques.
- Skills:
- Motivational interviewing expertise.
- Competence in NRT dispensing and smoking cessation frameworks.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional communication and collaboration.
- Commitment to inclusive, person-centred service delivery.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic recording systems.

Salary Band: CGL Points 20–21 (£26,296.03 – £27,165.10) + Outer London weighting (£2,250.61).
