Role Overview

An exciting remote based 12 month FTC for a SNAM looking to head up the no.1 wholesaler for a branded challenger brand making category waves. You'll deliver key commercial stages in the Booker / Bestway calendar, allowing for further trade and brand activation's!

An established yet innovative confectionery challenger brand, operating in a fun, energetic and exciting category. The business sells sweets and confectionery products that are designed to bring enjoyment, and the company wants to retain that sense of warmth and enthusiasm in how it works.


Description

To provide senior level strategic and commercial ownership of the Booker and Bestway accounts, ensuring the brand is strongly positioned to grow distribution, strengthen customer relationships and deliver against key commercial milestones.

The Interim Senior National Account Manager will operate with a high level of autonomy, balancing customer ambition with sound commercial judgement. They will work closely with internal stakeholders across sales, category, operations, finance, back office and Spain-based teams to ensure customer plans are commercially robust and operationally deliverable.

This person must be able to step in quickly, understand the customer landscape, build credibility with Booker and Bestway stakeholders, and drive meaningful progress during the contract period.

The role comes at an important stage in the development of these customers, with key priorities including Booker's Q1 2027 category review, completion of the current Booker JBP, closing out the 2026 Bestway JBP, and building the next stage of the Bestway 2027 plan. You'll be instrumental in delivering these key stages!


Profile

A successful Sales Controller will have:

  • Recent direct Booker account experience.
  • Proven experience managing national, wholesale or major commercial accounts within FMCG.
  • Strong understanding of Booker trading, customer planning, category review preparation, promotional planning and negotiation.
  • Demonstrable experience building and delivering JBPs.
  • Track record of securing new listings, driving customer activation and expanding distribution.
  • Proven P&L ownership, including commercial investment, margin management and growth delivery.
  • Strong negotiation skills and evidence of delivering successful customer plans.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Job Offer

£60-£70,000 + car allowance + bens
